section lock by space bar

I want to set the space bar only for the selection lock. I don't want to see that extra menu.

How do i do?

In the hotkey editor, look for the "Selection Lock Toggle" and in the press keys section press the spacebar. You will be notified that this conflicts with the current spacebar quad menu hotkey assignment. So click on Remove to unnassign it to the quad menu. You also have to remove the other hotkey assignment Ctrl+ ****+N. After these have been removed you can assign the spacebar to the the selection lock toggle by entering it again and pressing assign. Worked for me.
