Issues when I loft

While using the loft function, I noticed that the segments aren't evenly distributed—they appear to be progressively spaced. Please see the image below for more details.

Anyone konws how to figure this out? Thanks! The file is linked below.

when you use spline , you should add normalize spline most times

Looks like your cross sections are unevenly spaced.

Also your Loft has non-uniform scaling - I would highly recommend not to do that. If you really need to use non-uniform scaling, use the Xform modifier instead.

Here is my new model, which I created using Loft. As you can see in the image, the structure lines are evenly spaced. This is the issue I encountered — last time, the lines weren't evenly spaced, but this time they are. I'm wondering if I accidentally pressed a button that caused this difference. Any idea?

I didn’t do anything except draw a line, go to the Compound Objects panel, and apply Loft — no other settings were changed. But the results came out differently: last time the structure lines weren’t evenly distributed, and this time they are. Any idea about what might have caused this?

the rate of loft ， also other functions ， are based on path ， not length ，because calculate length is very slow ，need integral differentiation ， and calculate path just need substitute the value into the bezier formula

when your line was bezier state ，path rate will not same with length rate ，if you refuse to add normalize modifier ， you should ensure your lines are evenly

Hi.

'Adaptive Path Steps' = turn it off.

Then you control the mesh density with the 'Path Steps'. In my screenshot, notice that the Path Steps is 5, which corresponds to the number of 'divisions' in the loft (not counting the start and end). Moving or adding multiple shapes along the loft path will not increase the subdivisions between them. You will have to increase the 'Path Steps' for more detail / mesh density between the shapes.
