Hi. Your Material Editor slots don't represent the Materials in the scene. If using Compact Material Editor, you have to "Pick Material from Object" using the eye dropper tool found next to the Material name in the Editor or use "Get Material" (checkered ball with white arrow at its top-left) from Scene Materials in Material/Map Browser. If using Slate Material Editor, you can also use the eye dropper tool or from Material menu > Get from Selected.

Once you have access to the Materials in the Editor, you can choose to "Show Shaded Materials in the Viewport."

Show Shaded/Realistic Material in Viewport

Hi, I have a model and the textures are not showing in the viewport or in the material editor slots. But they render correctly when I render them in Max. The textures are in the
asset tracker are the paths are set correctly. The paths are not written in the path field in the table, but their status is "found". Not sure why their path isn't written in there since I set them one by one and saved the ".max" and reopened.

monks

Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes, this worked. By using the eyedropper I was able to see all of the textures in the sub object.

monks
