there is one more option select border (press 3) and apply symmetry modifier on it...no need to move your pivot. hope it works. 🙂

Hiya y'all! Quick question here, does anybody know why my Symmetry is acting weird? Heres what I had before I apply it: https://gyazo.com/3e2a7ee18af689d5dd27ebd77b630dd8

And after I apply symmetry: https://gyazo.com/732a1cbf4aa1ffad16c279d81f9fadd6

I'm following a tutorial on Youtube, and he had the exact same start as me, but when he applied Symmetry, his looks like: https://gyazo.com/11cf4456a962ce7d1d38235844d9dbd3

Mine seems to shorten itself when I apply it for some reason. Anybody help please?

The mirror gets placed at the pivot point by default. If it's not where you want it, you will have to move it in sub-object mode, or move the pivot where you want it beforehand.
