Object Properties doesn't reflect the actual dimensions of said object.

I have a Plane that I'm trying to Scale to a more common size for a desktop. When I do so, the Object Properties still show the original size when the Plane was created. When I use the measuring tool, it shows the Plane being almost ten times larger than the Object Properties dimensions.

Also, if anyone can suggest a way to change an object to a specific size after the creation process, I would be quite grateful.

If you scale things in the stack after creation, certain situations will not pass the scale up the stack properly. But if you go to the 'Utilities' panel and use 'Reset Xform' it should correct the scaling mis-reporting.

I'll definitely be using that, but it's not without its own puzzles. When I first added it to the Modifier List it reset the Object in a way that made the dimensions reflect the actual size of the Object but didn't update any other changes made while it was still in the Modifier List. If I used the Previous Modifier button the whole thing collapsed down to the floor in a size that was so small as to be almost invisible. Covert to Poly fixed that, but changes (scale) to my OSL Advanced Wood Map would no longer have any effect on the final Render (even though the changes were being reflected in the Viewport. I added a new OSL Advanced Wood Map (with exactly the same settings) and it fixed the Render.

I miss AutoCAD. When you changed the size of something, it actually changed the size.
