I'll be creating artwork for printing on tee shirts.

Please advise me on the best way of creating the model of the shirt and making sure the mapping avoids stretching the UV coordinates.

Thanks,

Richard Sher

www.richardsherdigitalart.com

.

Hi;

The workflow i suggest would be creating the shirt, then unwrapping it for this process.

You can define your custom seams on an object with the Unwrap tools as you desire, then you can go to unwrap UI and flatten your objects faces so you can have a proper mapping layout.

Regards;

Love your art work, it reminds me a bit of Dali & Van Gogh's works. Can you tell me more about your inspiration?

Thank you for your interest in my 3D "originated" prints.

The focus began with conveying images that came to me in dreams. The
windchimes, tree of light, Faith gate, spokey lab window and to a lesser
extent the castel pannells required a medium like 3-d for me to compose the
perspective and lighting to create the mood I was searching for. I am
becoming more interested in the look and feel of the content rather than
the subject matter.
I will often begin with a photo of a scene like the L.A. Street scene and
build the model off the picture.
Here is an example:
The original painting and my 3-D take on it.
You can also see the original image mapped onto the side of the first
building on the right hand side of the the new scene. Let me know if I can
offer you access to these images or any support that may help Autodesk
market their products. I would also like to move my style in to the realm
of VR at some point in the near future.

Best,

Richard Sher

.

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for the explanation, seems like you model from your subconscious?

Your images would be an extremely imaginative place to explore in VR 🙂

Reminds me of the Bjork VR Exhibition I attended in Montreal last November.

Check it out here >

What I loved about the show was the experience to test out VR in different let's say "settings." So jumping into her music videos, animated world, and Bjork up close. By far my favourite environment was in an abstract settings, reminds me of your imagery.

Let us know when you have your exhibition!

Best,
