I cant edit the model even though its coverted to a editable poly.

I started to learn 3dsmax few days ago so I need help, I got stuck!.

This is what happened to me. - I was trying to model a pen. I just "drew" the pen's tube and the top cap with the cylinder tool. Then I wanted to smooth the edges of the top cap. So I converted that cylinder to a editable poly and tried to chamfer it. but the Cylinder stays selected and I cant edit it. Even extrude it.

What should I do?

dear navin for smoothing the edges you can use chamfer by selecting the edges press f4 to show them what kind of pen you are trying to make shoe me picture so i can show you how to get that..

Thanks for replying.

Somehow the "blockage" had gone. I guess it is a bug or something. I closed and opened 3dsmax and it worked. Or as you said, I might have did something wrong.

This is my first 3d model by the way.
