Look up some stuff on cloth and garment maker, I'd use Push modifier with negative value on the original geometry to wrap the cloth around, and simulated while pushing back to original value to stretch it.

Hey guys,

I have recently jumped headfirst into 3dmodeling with the intention of creating video game elements. I have had moderate success with simple stuff in Skyrim, but just decided to tackle a tougher challenge. Essentially what I am trying to do is use the conform tool(or any tool that will work!) to make this spider cocoon mesh appear skin tight. The problem is that it is a whole body shape, so the conform tool creates very strange artifacts no matter what settings I use. Can anyone give me any pointers?

1st image is the body that the cocoon should be conformed to.The front looks okay, with a little work I can tweak it to my liking. The back is the problem area. Weird artifacts all over the place. One of my attempted solutions: placing shapes in the gaps before conforming. This is the cocoon mesh before conforming. It's very High poly, not sure if that matters.

Thanks,

- A 3dsmax Newbie
