Hi kgokhangurbuz, and thanks

You mean that in architectural modeling (if I want to easily correct my geometry if necessary) I have to create a single object (all walls, windows...) ? In fact I don't work in Max for that, I import geometry from Archicad (.obj), but I want to understand, because sometimes I need to correct geometry in Max. I know that many Max users for architecture create modeling in Max. How can they create and correct that, when the building is very complex ?

regards

Hi,

How to edit several meshs at the same time ? for exemple a house, how to move a single wall with her windows if all the walls are in one object and all the windows are in another one. With "Edit mesh" I can edit only the walls or only the windows but not both together.

Hello;

You can simply use the Attach the different geometries under your Editable Mesh / Editable Poly options, and then select all the sub-sections such as vertices of your wall along with your window (with your example), and modify and / or transform them together.

Regards;

there are lot of ways how to handle modelling of a complex building, some are:
1. layering - you can assign layer to the object, freeze or hide them if not necessary
2. isolate - you can isolate the object temporarily and or hide other object so you can focus working on a particular object
3. detach / attach you can detach the object in case the whole model is one.

best is focusing and organized work flow, focus on the area you are working with and organized those models.

When I isolate an object in perspective or orthographic view, the display of the object is optimized on the screen. Is there a way to keep the same display, as in camera view (not optimized) ?

What's "optimized view" ? It would be helpful if you post a picture of your model before isolating and after isolating in order to understand your point.

If I zoom on an objet, then I isolate it, the display is zoom out, the entire object is displayed, and I want to stay on the first display.

yes the scene view will be optimized, just scroll your mouse to zoom in and out to your object. theres no way we can maintain the view you want without using camera on the scene.

You can do what @rendermaster, said ie. create a camera by pressing Ctrl + C before isolating, when you're in your preferred view. You can delete the camera later if you want to.

Alternately, you could have two perspective views instead of just one and then isolate the preferred object in one of the perspective viewport, so that the 2nd perspective view will remain in the same zoom level.
