Estou tentando exportar um arquivo com suporte pelo Netfabb premium 2018 em formato STL e não consigo.

Podem me ajudar por gentileza?

Eu escolho gerar suporte na peça, faço as configurações, salvo e quando faço a exportação para STL, esse arquivo abre no software de impressão sem nenhum suporte.

Apologies for replying in English, I don't speak Portuguese myself. With a little help, this is what I gathered:

If I got that correctly, here's my response:

With 2018, Netfabb handles support specially, not just as a simple mesh.

Export to file types such as STL, which do not distinguish between part mesh and support mesh, will not contain the support. This is working as intended.

To include support in STL, you must convert the support mesh to a regular mesh, and also export both meshes, part and support, into the same STL file.

Select a part with support. (The support is coloured blue.)
Choose Prepare > Modify Support > Split Support to new Part.

This converts attached support to a new part. Note that Netfabb will likely complain about the part being broken, but that is the nature of some support types, not to be valid, closed meshes. Now export both parts into one STL.

To always create support as a separate part immediately, without the need to split support to new part afterwards, change the setting System > Settings > Support Module > Export as part attachment to No.

Alternatively, consider switching to the 3MF format which does distinguish between part mesh and support mesh.

Good Morning!
I have not been able to generate support yet. I did not find the option: Choose Prepare -> Modify support -> Split support for new part.
In System Configuration: -> Settings -> Support Module -> Export as partial attachment to No. This I was able to do.
But when I try to export the part in STL, it is still not supported.
Can you help me please!

Hi,

You should have, it's included in the Premium. Please check here:

And to export both parts, make sure they are both highlighted when exporting. Use the Shift or the Control key to select multiple parts.

Then choose File > Export Part > as STL. In the export dialog, check that you have multiple parts and that the output is set to All into one file.

Ah yes. You need to actually apply the supports.

In the project tree, select the entry Generate Support. This loads the Support module into the section in the bottom left on your screen.
On the tab Analysis, click Apply Support. Provided you had generated some supports some time earlier (otherwise you will have to rerun a support script or apply supports manually), the supports will be turned from a preview into actual, applied supports.

Then you can split and export as required.

Hello Steffen!
Still the same message appears, when I choose Prepare -> Modify support -> Split support for new part. A message like this appears: The selection is not supported.

Even after choosing to apply support on the analysis tab.

When I choose to export in STL and then open the file in 3D printing software, only support without the Bulldog appears.

Can you help me please!

Of course, you have already set System > Settings > Support Module > Export as part attachment to No, you don't need to split anything anymore!

Now select both parts, Bulldog and Bulldog (support), right-click, Export part, to STL. Make sure both parts are counted and the setting All into one file is correct.

For this, you will need to create your own support scripts and modify the settings of the support actions accordingly.

If I am not mistaken, the screenshot you provided as reference originates from a YouTube video on creating support. You might want to look in the video description for the download link of the support script. 😉
