Hi,

1- In the Chamfer dialog choose Quad Chamfer from the chamfer type drop down list

2- Increase the edge segments as much as you like

3- Reduce the Edge Tension to give your chamfer a rounded look

This is a method I often use which works in a number of scenarios where various tools give unwanted results and that's to simply:

1. delete the problematic faces
2. execute the tool
3. re-add the faces
