Yes I've been looking around and changing settings to try and fix this, but on automatic exposure control I still need to set the multiplier to 3 1 3 4 1 1 1 3 3 4 4 ,0 for a good result.

Hello all,

I'm having a weird issue that I think is related to the scaling somehow.

I have a scene where I've exported to GLTF with babylon.js, and I have to set the scaling to 0.01 to have a normal size model. That was something I could live with but, now I wan't to set up lighting and I've noticed that I need to set the multiplier to a really high number to get any result (at this moment on 192865616,0 on the standard target spot).

My system units are 1 unit = 1 mm and document is metric mm.

I obviously get in trouble with this lighting set up when exporting, any ideas on what to try to fix this?

Your problems with the lighting have nothing to do with the scale, even your settings for scale are problematic and can create problems in the future.

The problem with the lighting comes from this setting:

Press 8, that will show the environment and effects menu

Check the exposure control, where you have chosen logarithmic exposure control with some specific settings that are creating the problem. Exposure controls are just that, adjustment of the exposure once the render is done.

The simpler way to correct it is to change it to Automatic Exposure Control, that will allow you to use a more normal multiplier in the lighting.

If you want to correct the lighting changing the exposure as I commented should be enough.

For any other problem you would need to state exactly what you want to correct.

That was set to on, in the scene you will see that if you try to render you'll need to set the multiplier really high to get a normal rendered result. You don't see the poligons form at a lower one.

Okay I found the problem I think.... I've set the Global lighting to 0 while working with V-ray, this must be done with scanline and I didn't set it back to 1 when I've converted my scene.

I can see shadows in your file with no changes other than adding a floor.

The problem of the shadows don't appearing in the object is because you have set ambient light to white, that lits the dark parts of the object. If you set it to a dark or black value your shadows will return.

I know I have my whole scene set up with a floor, this is just a small part. You can see the shadows cast on the tree polygons on the green parts, but are you using a "normal" multiplier on the light?

It does seem to work fine with the global lighting level set to 1.

I had the same issue with scaling.
As far as I can see no one answered about scaling, so here it is:
GLB uses meters as its default unit of measurement, so if your model is in millimeters, it might appear too small in other applications. Try to change the units to meters, and it will export correctly.
