Container workflow has a lot of rules that can be set for different usages and particular ways to interact with them. When working with containers, you should be using the Container Explorer. (Tools > All Global Explorers > Container Explorer)

3ds Max 2025 Help | Container Explorer | Autodesk

You say it works without group; Is a group even necessary?

Hi everyone!

I have a container that contains a group of objects, when I try to clone this group the names of the objects in the new group are not incremented correctly. Moreover, the helpers will get the names of the geometry and the geometry will get the names of the helpers.

If the group is not in the container - everything works.

Is there a solution to the problem of cloning inside the container?
