I wonder...

If you look through the imported and error prone camera, then press P, then press Control C, max should create a new camera matching the old settings. Does that fix it?

The camera and view from Revit do indeed come into my 3ds max file but there is a warning when it comes in to 3ds max specifically about the camera. “Warnings and Errors: Camera offsets are not supported” “Description: The camera(s) listed below use film offsets or optical center offsets. 3ds Max does not support camera offsets. They will not be imported. Render may look different.”

I’ve also tried setting up perspective match in 3ds Max with all the different camera types to no avail.

Hope you can help. Maybe there is a setting or camera inside Revit that when created is compatible with 3ds Max??

If you create a camera in Revit and do nothing more to it, the camera shouldn't generate any warnings on import. But, once you start moving the window around you view and widen it, stretch it up, slide it around, all of these things are what Max is warning you about. The camera target is not longer the center of your view, which is creating an 'offset' that Max can't replicate. Your best bet is to create a new camera in 3ds Max and match up the Revit view as best you can.
