Hello Diffus3d, i actually was in panic cause i wanted to progress my work and it slowed me down for quite few days so i had to clean my pc and i did. But to my surprise it worked just fine till now at this moment when i'm typing this message i had the error again with all my files clean and clean 3ds max new install. I had to delete the ENU file and restart but it works fine again. I don't know what's causing the issue in the first place but i guess i have to deal with it and see what fixes the issue when i happens. For the moment being i see only 3 options when it happens
- if you have Wacom software installed delete it and delete WacomMT.dll from system 32 and see if it works again.
- delete the ENU files and start without restoring and see if that works.
- if nothing of the above works, fresh windows install ( you can keep your files when you do this just to clean the system32 folder and delete all installed software except windows ).

if none of the above works, well i don't know what do. ( for any future person seeing this message, sorry i couldn't help ).

Thank you so much again Diffus3d for your help and support.

Thank you.

Do you use a Wacom tablet? The drivers for those were causing a problem like this and need to be updated.

Hello Diffus3d, thank you for taking the time to answer my question. Before i had the problem, yes, i was using a wacom tablet rarely on my pc. But since i started having this problem i followed the step to uninstall it and delete the system32 file but still unfortunately doesn't fix the problem. Last resort is just to clean my pc and reinstall my windows from scratch while keeping my files if i can. Last resort solution.

Thank you so much again for the time.

Happy to try to help. But let's not give up yet... I mean, unless you are in a bind and need it now.

The other thing that might cause this is corrupted user files. Uninstalling 3dsmax doesn't remove those user files, so reinstalling wouldn't have an effect. Can you try to remove them manually?

I wonder if somehow you don't have the rights to save to the user settings folder. If you run as administrator, does the problem improve? Fingers crossed for you, my friend.

Hi guys,

I have a similar issue, constant Failure Detection errors, and then no matter what I click, Max launches and after 1 second shuts down automatically. What's curious, same thing is happening to Keyshot - it opens and immediately after crashes down..

Any ideas?
