    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi, Try This sequence:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1) Before selecting the cone or the pivot be sure your pointer is in the select mode ( select object&amp;nbsp;)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2) Go to Hierarchy Panel and select "Affect Pivot Only"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3) Select the cone&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;4) Select Move or rotate&amp;nbsp;command ( you can also use align, quick align or align to view )&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;5) Grab the XY or Z arrow from the&amp;nbsp;pivot and move to desired location&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;6) Turn off &amp;nbsp;"Affect Pivot Only"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;7) Select the cone again and use the rotate or move command and it should move or pivot from wherever you last left the pivot point&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;( Note : you can always use the reset if you get in trouble or stuck )&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;8) If this works for you and answers your question - Please solve it and give a kudo if you are happy&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;9) If this doesn't work for you - let me know!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>3ds max pivot problem</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi there I'm having a problem with my pivot. I have it where i want to move it to a different position so i use menu where the pivot is to move it and i see it. however for some reason it still has it where its in the same place so i see i moved the pivot but only works and stays where it was before. Here is a screenshot to show you what i mean in a way.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
