extra lines in 3Ds Max

i see this from time to time, idk how they appear but i have extra symbols and lines that i cannot select unfreeze etc and delete, any ideas anyone? see the attachment

Hi. I believe the one corner of the selection brackets. In the Viewport Configuration dialog you can enable/disable selection bracket (right click on the upper left text in the viewport, select "Configure", in the "Visual Style & Appearence" tab you find the "Selection" section and uncheck/check "Selection Brackets).

OK.. Then I guess you should check out what kind of helpers, group, links, systems etc. you're having in the scene, and then check if it is related to any of this.

BTW - do you have any geometry set to "Dispkay as Box"?

no helpers or such in the scene and nothing displayed as box either, very hard to pinpoint, i could be wrong but i cant find any

it was the ticks from using populate feature in 3ds max, just i had to uncheck show ticks, its funny no one here could answer this, this forum is more and more unuseful as time goes by

ahh, i did check but had no clue that option was even there so that didn't help me much, i don't usually use populate unless things are far away since they aren't so great so it was really not much help in my case that is. but thanks anyway, i have another issue here about missing bitmaps that's getting no answer can you check it out?
