Hi everyone,

I am extremely new to Autodesk 3ds Max. I was looking at a sofa tutorial online the other day and noticed that, in the video, there were grid lines on the sofa cushion the person was making. I do not have any grid lines on the objects im constructing and I would really like to have them. I have the home grid lines turned on, but I want the grid lines to show up on the things I build as well.

I have already gone to the Snap and Grid Settings and that did not work for me, so I'm not sure if I overlooked something or not. Does anyone else have any suggestions? Your help is much appreciated!

Hi. A picture of these "grid lines" on the sofa would have been nice, so we could be absolutely sure what you're meaning. I don't think that what you saw was actually grid lines. Instead I think it was the edges. You can turn edges displaying on/off by pressing F4 (and faces on/off by pressing F3).

It could also be another display setting tho.

Hope it helps
