Hello,

When I press alt and the medium button of the mouse, it is supposed to rotate. But nothing happens.

Even when I just press the mouse button alone, nothing happens. Why?

I have recently installed max2016.

Thank you

Hello @Anonymous,

I'd like to help you with your mouse issue. This problem usually comes from 2 places.

1) the middle mouse button has been reassigned in windows or a 3rd party mouse software like Logitech Setpoint. The Middle Mouse Button (MMB) needs to be set to the generic MMB settings. Some programs will let you map that button to a different function, such as Copy or Alt-W.

2) You may be running on a Mac. Bootcamp and Parallels both seem to have issues with Windows 10 and 3ds Max.

Can you expand a little bit on your issue? Do you have any 3rd party mouse drivers or are you using bootcamp or parallels?

Best Regards,

Hello Alfred.DeFlaminis,

Well, thank you for being so polite to explain me the reasons why that may
happens.
In the meanwhile, talking with a friend, I realized that although the MMB
was rolling, it had stopped working when pressing it. That was the
problem... So I changed the mouse and everything is OK!

Thanks a lot for answering me, your advice was helpful!
--

*When nothing goes right... go left.*

Hello @Anonymous,

Ah, yes of course. I now have a 3rd thing to add to my list in the future. Thanks for the update!

Best Regards,
