In your screen capture, it looks like you are in an editable spline object. The functionality you are referring to is found in Editable Poly objects. There are some similar functions between Spline objects and Poly objects, but there are some differences too.

Hello, I'm a student and I'm very new to 3ds max. now recently I learned how to use geometry option like "weld", "chamfer", ... But today I noticed that the boxes next to these options were gone. And if I remeber correctly there where boxes next to these options because I used it before. With the chamfer option for example you had the option to change how much sides where added, ... We had to change our "unit setup" in class but i don't know if that has anything to do with my problem. In the screenshot you can see that the boxes are not there.

I thank you for reading and i hope you understand my question.

Hello @Anonymous and welcome to the community!

I believe @CAMedeck is correct. Each object type will have different versions of similar tools and in this case those tools are for the edit spline. If you put an Edit Poly on top of that base spline in the modifier menu, you should see the familiar ones from before.

Best Regards,
