I am trying to move multiple objects simultaneously . Those rectangles you
see are boxes drawn. This is to give an example of what I am doing. I am
trying to move a number of boxes together at the same time. to do that I
need to select them together. not one by one.
Usually to select a number of objects you can select them by :-
- choosing the select button (marked no1 in the attached file)
- choose window / crossing option (marked 5 & 6 in the attached file)
- Then start selecting the objects by pressing the left mouse button and
keep it pressed. (marked 2)
- Drag the mouse to the diagonal corner then release the button. ( marked
3)
- All objects within the selected window will me selected.( marked 4)
( then you can move them together modify them together or what ever
command you need to do.
- My issue when I do the selection command (marked 2 and 3) the objects are
not selected. they usually turn white once selected. but here nothing
happens and no modification happens to them.
- The only way to selected them is by clicking on each object while
pressing the CTRL button. other wise i cannot select multiple objects.
I hope someone can help.

windows crossing once enabled only allows you to select one object in the scene once disabled windows crossing allows you to select more then one object

Sadly i cannot even select one object with window \ crossing selection. I have to click on the object itself to select it. I need to reactivate the multiple selection through window / crossing selection.

If you see in the image there is a white rectangle. Top left corner of it
marked point 2 and bottom right of it marked point 3. That is the way I am
used to do any window cross selection in other computers with 3ds max, you
point in one corner by pressing on the left button of the mouse drag it to
the other diagonal corner then release the button and by that you select
what ever objects are within or crossed in the window. I can do it in other
computers but in mine. I guess there is a setting that turned off this
feature. So if someone has a solution or can help i will really appreciate
it.
