Hello @Anonymous,

Thanks for the update! The image didn't attach to the message, so I'm not sure what information was within it. This normally happens if the image isn't fully loaded before hitting "Done" when attaching images. Those three circles are a loading bar (a bit confusing sometimes) and once the picture is uploaded those three circles go away and then pressing Done will save the image. Otherwise the image gets dropped. If you don't mind reattaching that would be awesome, and thank you.

Best Regards,

Hello @Anonymous,

I also posted in your other thread, to prevent repeating all that I'll ask a few questions. Does this only happen with Vray? That card came out much later than 2014 so it's very likely that the plugin and that version of Max are not built with this in mind. Adaptive subdivision is also an older image sampler method, what happens if you use Bucket or Progressive?

EDIT: Is your power supply sufficient for the new card?

Best Regards,

Vray 3.5 is in Beta and it's an unfinished product. As a result this issue should likely be directed at the Chaosgroup team. Does this only happen when you use Vray?

Whoa @Anonymous, you're getting blue screens?

Generally that is not caused by Max but by a system problem. My first thought is that some of your old graphics card driver files have somehow been left behind or there is another hardware issue going on. You may want to try to completely remove your graphics drivers and wipe out all traces of them, reboot, and reinstall the graphics card drivers. (Most likely.) Simply uninstalling the NVIDIA drivers is sometimes not enough for some people, so there are processes on the net to wipe out all traces of old drivers. Or, maybe just a reinstall of the drivers would help.

Or, your power supply while enough watts may not be very stable. There may also be other system problems which can be seen in the event viewer logs if you want to attach them or look them over. One thing I can say with confidence is that if you are getting blue screens, that's not coming from Max but Max may be revealing it. Those come from driver and system problems most of the time.

Is your old card still in the machine as well?

Best Regards,
