Hi AkiraZombie,

that would depend on your game engine, the related documentation of the game engine should provide you with their pipeline and specs.

Most of commercial game engines, like Unity or Unreal Editor for instance will import .fbx files.

The .fbx file format is the most common and universal file format.

It supports meshes, uvs, textures, skins, morphs and yes, smoothing too! 🙂

In Max main menu, File > Export > Export drop down > .fbx

I hope this can help! 🙂

I'm still a newbie at this so please enlighten me. I'm trying to make some low poly game objects so in what format should i export my model for a game engine with textures on it. and also will the model look edgy when i export it? if so will the game engine i use do the smoothing? and if not is there an option i have to check while exporting? Hope i made myself clear.

Thanks all.
