So I have an issue with a backburner installation.

System 1: Max Workstation, and backburner Manager/Server (v 2019)

System 2: Render node. Max, backburner installed

I've went through all previous discussions requiring identical max installations, so on and so forth. Both machines have the same install. However, I cannot run backburner server on System 1. I get the dreaded 3dsmax.exe process no response error. Screenshot attached.

The only thing that is different between the 2 machines is the OS. System 1 is Windows 11, System 2 is Windows 10. I am almost certain there is something blocking max from loading remotely through backburner - you see a blip come up on the screen, like a dialog box, and then it immediately disappears.

I've went through two fresh max installs on both machines and nothing. If I run manager on System 2, System 1 still doesn't launch max via server.exe

Any input would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Thank you

phil

3deeit
