I actually used biped on/off since 1999. 🙂 But the "real" animators still teach me little secrets all the time...

I might need to help some Maya animators start animating with biped. Primer videos like those for CAT would be great.

I'll look in to the book you mentioned.

Your question is to wide ranging if you go back old school you mite beable to learn something new that you did not know. IMHO i like Michele Bousquet books. especially how to cheat in 3ds max

The book mentioned above looks good.

But maybe it's time to do a set of videos for character Studio/Biped. Maybe five, ten videos that go through the whole system.

Something similar to this massive 40 episode video for rigging.

the problem with books is some don't walk you through sometimes, they just from subject to subject not like in video tutorials they walk you through the whole tutorials not go onto another. IMHO

Hello @StephenMF,

When you are looking for information about this, use the term "Character Studio". The Biped system is from before the time of ubiquitous video tutorials which may explain why there are so few of them. I can't find any as comprehensive as the rigging ones you linked about however. The first one on that link above is pretty good about Motion Mixer. Is there a specific feature or part of it that you want to learn more about?
