&lt;P&gt;After reviewing the file you updated it became clear to the devs that there was an issue in the Library that needed to be updated. &amp;nbsp;This is already done and is undergoing testing currently. &amp;nbsp;There should be a new version on the store soon that will prevent this issue in the future. &amp;nbsp;I can't reveal release dates on it but it should be very soon. &amp;nbsp;Thanks!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Best Regards,&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>3DS Max Asset Library 2017 Startup Error</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I was using an earlier version of Asset Library (2016) without issue then upgraded to 2017 1.4.88.0. &amp;nbsp;This version was fine for a while then I received attached error message. &amp;nbsp;I noticed a newer version 1.5.41 and installed that hoping it would solve the issue. I&amp;nbsp;have tried Repair, Uninstall and reinstalling all versions without solution. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have 3DS Max 2015 and 2017 installed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;System specs screenshot attached.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Enrique&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;I have not seen this particular message before and I have emailed some people on my end to look for more information. I will update this thread when I get that information. &amp;nbsp; In the meanwhile &lt;A href="https://apps.autodesk.com/3DSMAX/en/Detail/HelpDoc?appId=6015429456303731618&amp;amp;appLang=en&amp;amp;os=Win64" target="_blank"&gt;this link&lt;/A&gt; has more information including something we should try here, detailed below. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Please try to delete the following directories:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3ds Max Asset Library\cache\cache&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3ds Max Asset Library\cache\GPUCache&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Additionally, i&lt;SPAN&gt;f you have Dell backup and recovery. v. 1.7.5.64 &amp;nbsp;installed, it will cause the Asset Library not to launch. Upgrade to newer version of the Dell backup and recovery and it will be fine. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;I got an email from a software engineer on the Asset Library about this, and I am pasting that info below. &amp;nbsp;I will also forward this to Jon.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;"The user might have ended up with a corrupted database.&amp;nbsp;We can try to fix the database manually for the user, but this will mean we would see the indexed data i.e filenames, local paths and collection names but not the actual content of those files. If the user is OK with that, they can send us the following file&amp;nbsp;:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#0000FF"&gt;%LOCALAPPDATA%\Autodesk\3ds Max Asset Library\indexer.sqlite&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;(this file should not be shared via the forums but only through a private channel)&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The other alternative would result in &lt;U&gt;data loss:&lt;/U&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;UL&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;All added content folders will be lost (+ tags and custom thumbnails), user will have to manually re-add them&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;LI&gt;All created collections will be lost, user will have to manually re-create them&lt;/LI&gt;
&lt;/UL&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If user is ok with that, they can simply rename the following folder&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;"%LOCALAPPDATA%\Autodesk\3ds Max Asset Library"&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;into&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;"LOCALAPPDATA%\Autodesk\3ds Max Asset Library (corrupted)"&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;When they start the 3dsMax Asset Library, this will re-create the database from scratch."&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

Can you verify that removing or renaming the entire AppData folder fixes the issue?
