Generally I stick with mouse for 3dsmax, and drawing tablet for Zbrush and Blender.

Not many tools within 3dsmax benefit from the pessure sensitivity of a tablet.

But if you use a tablet for drawin and photo editing in photoshop, it's good, I recommend you get a wacom intuos, if you want a cheaper one, the xp-pen deco and huion inspiroy are also works well.

Hi,

Do any of the users here use a graphics Tablet on a daily basis, for work, college, home use or all three?

I'd ideally like one that works well Max, CAD and Adobe Photoshop. 2048 precision levels would be nice, but not essential (hi-res monitors in work).

Something over 7"?

I've seen Wacom tablets (and 3D connexion mice) wreak havoc in a modern Max environment. I just wanted to know if anything 'current' is working okay, and worth the money.

Do you have any experience?

sorry i don't have the newer verson of max, so i cannot really answer about the newer wacom tables, it's really all trial and error!

here is a couple of old thread if you have not found them back in 2014 and 2012

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/3ds-max-forum/to-wacom-or-not-to-wacom/td-p/5140852

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/3ds-max-forum/3ds-max-and-graphics-tablets/td-p/4249264

IMHO don't use them for 3ds max half of them never work with interface

I work 10 + hours a day on a graphics tablet. I've been using graphics tablets for over 10 years. I absolutely need one because i paint/draw for a living and these days people need things done fast soo digital is the way to go.

I've been using Wacom tablets for all this time. I wouldnt recommend ANY other brand but XP-Pen for graphics tablets. They are the best. I currently use a Medium size XP-Pen Artist15.6 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077PCCC7R .

For just scribbling notes and doing minor photo touch ups I would recommend either a Small XP-Pen StarG640 ( which cost about $29.99 ) OR a XP-Pen Star05 ( around $70) more or less.

Look for:

XP-Pen

Ugee

Those companies make some amazing tablets and on screen drawing tablets (like the Cintiq). The one thing they do not support is pen tilt but other than that their quality is amazing. Many Wacom users say that their paralex and straight drawing lines are better than Wacom.

Those tablets are practically a third of Wacom price.

Allocate some time, make a cup of coffee, sit down and watch some Youtube reviews. You will be amazed. Many of those reviewers are professional animators and many have one of those tablets as their main driver drawing hours every day. Unfortunately, no Photo editing reviews to find anywhere. I looked.

But, if those tablets are good for animators they are definitely excellent for photo editing. I have a xp-pen DECO 01 graphics Art tablet for design and XP-Pen Artist 22E Pro pen display monitor for drawing .both of them works well .

their offical store : https://www.storexppen.com

I hope that helps.
