Using Nitrous Direct3D 9.0 with Nvidia GeForce GTX 970.

Might be an error caused by your current viewport settings have you tried to factory reset 3ds max? (not re-install)

I havent tried to factory reset. Im actually not sure how to do that. Here's another pic. Sometimes the geometry will be there but then I get a whole bunch of info tags staying on the screen. This usually happens after Ive had Max open and sitting for a few hours.

Hello @syndicate5,

Which OS are you running this on? You might try to downgrade your drivers in the meanwhile or roll back to a previous version. If that fails, you could disable the tooltips in Customize>Prefs>General>Untick Enable Viewport Tooltips.

Another cause of disappearing objects could be an object that is infinitely far in the distance, you might check for that.

Thanks for the information, I’ll try that out. I would say that the tooltips are just a symptom of the problem, everything freezes up.
