OPEN 3DMAX 2015 FIle Always Not Responding Please HELP !!

Hi All,

Please Help ... I have 3Dmax 2015 File with 800MB size . Whenever i Open it , it always took so long and the program will said not responding at the top of the windows, after a while it will be running as usual again.

My computer Specs: Core i5 3470 / Ram 8GB DDR3 / SSD 240GB /VGA GTX 1050

Please Advice ....

have you tried merging the that scene file into a new scene file and then save it as a different file name and does it open?

I have done it. but it still not responding when opening the file, after a
while the file will be opened but very slow loading.

I am not sure why it takes so long to open.

I would delete some object you don't need or attach the and see if anyone else has the same problem if you are worried about privacy issues then an autodesk empolyee can send you a private folder that he/she can only view and he/she can send you it back to your inbox or through the mail on here.

Hello @Anonymous and welcome to the community,

Some files are just heavy. If that file has 'Compress on Save' on, then the actual file size is probably more like 4gb which is quite large. Are you using Compress on Save?

The easiest way to get the file more responsive is to start attaching objects and collapsing stacks most of the time. How many objects are in this scene?
