      <title>How to rig or constraint this.</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello, I'm out of my depth here and need some help.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;(See photo and file) I want to rotate the dummy object in my file, which controls a bar. The bar should then push the red bar up, forcing the large blade on top to rotate. (I'm trying to simulate a damper opening)&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;How can this be rigged to the red bar is controlling the movement of the blade?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;What you want to rig is known as a four-bar linkage.&amp;nbsp; The first couple of minutes of this video I created highlights the process.&amp;nbsp; I used bones in this example but you do not need to.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I edited your file as follows to rig the mechanism.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;- Moved the pivot point of&amp;nbsp; Box 2 (the coupler) to the other end.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;- added dummies at the end of box 2 and the "crank"&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;- moved all pivot points of objects used in the rigging to have the same y coordinate.&amp;nbsp; This will ensure that the OK SOlver plane will be correct.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;- Added an IK SOlver from the blade to dummy at the end of box002&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;- Linke the IK Goal to the dummy at the end of the crank.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Let me know if you have any further questions.&lt;/P&gt;
