Rotate an Object more than 360 degrees??

Hi, I am at a situation where I need an object to rotate more than 360 degrees.

For example: I set one keyframe at 0 degrees, I then rotate it to 700 degrees, so it spins 700 degrees in that timeframe between the two keyframes.

Instead of totating 700 degrees, it rotates only 300 degrees.

This seems like an extremely basic feature, but I haven't found any solutions at all on the internet. I understand I can use a loop to have it rotate more than 360 degrees, but I don't want to do that. I want to rotate something 3 times with two keyframes. This is extremely basic animation, and feel like there is no way 3ds max does not allow this.

Thanks

Not sure, but i think it should be easy enough:
-Activate autokey
-move to last frame of full rotation sequence
-Rotate object desired amount of degrees. (just keep rotating it through the 360 value, it should indicate your desired value)
-exit autokey and play animation...

Or is this something specific where you have to key the frames manually?
You could try right-clicking on the key in the trackbar and selecting the rotation key you need to check if the values between the keys are correct.

In a little test i did it set the values wrong when manually setting keys, so i guess you're seeing the same.
I had to set the value of the first key back to zero and then set the 2nd key to 700.

Hope this helps a little...

I would add that if you are using a TCB controller you would need to check the Rotation Windup box in the keyframe's dialog pane to get a rotation greater than 360°.

You are welcome. One more tip... set the Tension in the TCB controller to 50 if you want linear rotation.
