windows modifier

windows are black from one angle and from another angle not able to create window width using windows modifier

You need to give us a little more information.

How did you create it? Can you share a .max file to look at?

What version of 3ds Max are you using?

It might also help if you could record a screen capture video of what you are trying to do - e.g. what type of window is this?

OK, so for some reason the sliding window you create first in your video comes out with an incorrect orientation.

What you see as 'window' really is part of the side of the window.

Part of the problem is how you create the window:

a) What you do in the video is: click 1, click 2, click 3. This essentially creates a window with width = 0 with some weird surfaces

b) What you should do instead is: click-drag 1, click 2, click 3 (width, then depth, then height)

So you need to press down on the outside vertex of the bottom window edge first, then drag over to the second outside vertex of the bottom window edge, release, move to the inside vertex and click, then move up to the top window edge and click:

i have tried as you told on part "b" but its not creating width i.e. '0' i have to adjust width manually
