Ha, yea Alfred, I have been poking around trying to modify a few related things.

I'd start in 'Max.ini' and search for 'FBX.' I posted a capture of one line of code. Save the INI and play with a new copy so if you make a mess you can revert.

Sometimes I'll alter the INI and nothing happens. Then I have to go online and do a deep dive and do some reading about syntax, etc. Eventually, I'll kind of get what I need. I'm not a coder by any means, but I often and Frankenstein what I need together.

The FBX settings could be linked to another file. Max frequently has some behind the scenes stuff that get's coded when other files are altered. So I'm not sure all the settings you'll need are in that INI alone. But, it's always a good place to start.

Under the document folder, I got a folder like this

3dsmax\FBX\3dsMax2022_X64\Presets\export

Where is this folder defined?

I am looking for a way to point it to another folder, so that I wont need to redo the settings every time I change computer or upgrade no another max-version.
