topic State sets - render submission in 3ds Max Forum

Hi, I have a scene with several products, several cameras, and several lighting setups all in the same file.

To render each product I thought I could use state sets to record what camera to use, and which layers should be visible at rendertimes.

When I submit the file for rendering (through the net render dialog) all objects become visible after submission (the currently selected state is toggled off). This seems to happen on the backburner server as well, so my render turns out a mess. I'm using v-ray distributed rendering as well, and all machines seems to have different results (even though they all run the same max and v-ray versions).

How can I fix this, and why doesn't state sets work?! Is there another workflow I should use instead?

The result of submitting a renderjob with state sets
