Using The Unwrap UV Modifier List Can't Select Any Object.

In this tutorial video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4TUWrLbOKg&list=PLnKw1txyYzRkDT7ZH-2Mzd4hwZ_zjY_jt&index=18 She asked me to use the Unwrap UVW modifier list. But after using that modifier list, using the polygon and select by element selection, i can't select any object. Do you have any idea why? Is there any settings in my files that went wrong? Below i attacht the train station scene that i've been using.

Once you assign a Unwrap modifier (or any modifier) and enter in subobject mode you can not select other objects. You are supposed to focus in the object you are editing. You need to leave subobject mode first to select other objects.

If this is not what you mean better provide a screenshot.

Great to hear from you again! @Anonymous is correct, you may still be in a sub object mode, make sure when you riht click your object that you are in the "top level" selection, vertex, polygon, edge and element are all sub object modes.

Also, make sure that the "selection lock toggle" is turned off underneath your timeline. The hotkey to turn it on and off is Spacebar, and is easy to hit on accident. The display icon is a padlock.

Thanks @Anonymous and @hagen.deloss for the answers.. Anyway i'm not good at explaining my problems, so here i attached a video for the problem i'm facing.. Anyway, the trashcan should've turn red after i click on it right?

It is a problem similar to the one I was pointing.

You have locked the selection in face subobject mode in the edit poly modifier that is below the unwrap. This limits the selection available for the unwrap modifier.

Simply uncheck the face button in the edit poly modifier to remove the face selection. Notice how the squared icon disappear in the right of the modifier stack top list.
