Please see the image attached.

The "Get Started" Tab and several other tabs are not showing up and I am not able to get it back. I've gone into the Custom UI to try and change things, reset to defaults, etc. nothing has worked so far.

Thank you

When opening 3ds Max recently I notice the Get Started Toolbar is missing. All other forum questions are specific to customizing the toolbars, I just need to know how to get it to the original start up menu.

Thank you,

Hi @Anonymous

I'm not exactly certain what you mean, are you referring to start up templates (https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/3ds-max/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2018/ENU/3DSMax-Getting-Started/files/GUID-B5FF2780-6D57-4FBB-A37A-60FFFC80CA7D-htm.html)?

ah I see..it seems that somehow the default ribbon configuration has made it's way into your design standard workspace. You can try this: in the empty spot under your currently selected tab, right click and choose Ribbon Configuration->Load Ribbon. From there, it should navigate you to your local Appdata UI folder. Go into the "workspaces" folder and choose "Design Standard.ribbonconfig.ribbon".

If that does not work, it may have gotten corrupted. You can force 3ds Max to create a fresh version by clearing your preferences: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/3ds-max/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Resetting-3ds-Max-3ds-Max-Design.html

At your next reboot of 3ds Max, you should get that Ribbon configuration when you select the design standard workspace again.
