    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi. Go to the "Group" tab (top bar menu) and select "Open". Now you should be able to select and modify each object in the group. After you're done, you can close the group again.&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Can't Modify Objects In A Group</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;New to 3DS Max, so this might be a D'oh! moment. I have a DL'ed model and I can't ungroup the objects. They all seem to be on child layers from a parent layer (Layer 0). I can turn them off, but when I assign a material to one, it changes the entire group. This is what I'm getting when I select any of the layers:&lt;/P&gt;
