how to change the mapping scale in preview slot

Problem:

If I enable "use Real-world scale" in material editor, the mapping tile in preview will repeat entirely with a terrible scale, I can't recognize what kind of map it is. It's frustrating and tired to find out the material.

*I need to "use Real-world scale" for default for architectural rendering, I do not want to set up this parameter every time before I use.

The question is:

How to change the mapping scale in preview slot to make it look proper?

Since I never use Slate Material editor I don't know how to change it in Slate Material editor but you could make next steps: 1. Switch Slate Material editor to Compact Material editor. 2. Right mouse click on any Sample material in materials preview window and select Options. 3. Adjust Render Sample Size. Decrease this value in your case to have less tiles on your material. 4. Switch Compact Material editor back to Slate Material editor.
