I'm trying to export a model from 3Ds Max to import into Maya.

I select the model, File > Export Selected chose my location to save and file format FBX.

I've have also tried Autodesk Media & Entertainment preset.

After I click OK button. I get the warning box. I can import into Maya but there are no materials on it the model is grey.

I'm using 3ds Max and Maya 2024, and Arnold Standard Shaders, the bumps are connected to the norm channel with a Arnold 2D Bump map.

Have you tried using 3ds Max's 'Send To' option? With Max and Maya open, you can do File->Send To ->Send to Maya and not have to export the FBX file at all.

Textures attached to Arnold shaders cannot be exported for use in other applications, as far as I know. Only standard (legacy), PBR, and Physical Materials are supported by FBX. (as far as I know.)

Best Regards,
