i am new to 3ds max but I was able to render point cloud already but when I add another geometry (an fbx file) I can no longer render. my question is can you use 2 renderers in 3ds max when you render only once? thank you for any help

to my knowleage you cannot render two images you can render one image then clone the first image and then render a second image,

oh i forgot you can also render your scene in sequence frames,

go to the render dialog box in the comon panel put your dot in the active time segs and then choose the file then click on Jpeg for example but this will make a bunch of image on your desktop so i would create a new folder, then navigate that folder then click on render,

Render Output File Dialog

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/3ds-max/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2015/ENU/3DSMax/files/GUID-82297B32-B4CC-4EBB-80B4-C77217687895-htm.html

thank you for your reply I appreciate it so much. however what I wanted to do in 3ds max is to render everything in one scene, is it possible? I use Arnold renderer for my point cloud and it works but when I add the fbx file (which I supposed Arnold can be used as renderer but cannot) into the scene I think everything was already reset that's why I can no longer render even the point clouds. please see attached picture for our reference. thank you

thank you for the fast reply. i don't have issues anymore on point clouds using Arnold renderer. the only problem now i encountered is that when i combined the point clouds with another models within a scene which imported from fbx and revit (to make a single scene) , then by that time i render it does not work. maybe because imported fbx file and revit does not work the way point clouds work in Arnold render.

My apology. I still have one question regarding Arnold render. I created a geometry in 3ds max example is box and then render it using Arnold renderer then change the physical material and upload a bitmap material to it . when I render everything it turns to white color, how is it made possible rendering to the same bitmap material I uploaded using Arnold renderer? thank you!

Did you connect the bitmap to the diffuse map?

Can you post a screenshot of your material configuration?
