Hi,

From what I see, these are overbright spots,

Try first to set the Image Filter to VrayLanczosFilter

If the above doesn't solve it, go to Color Mapping rollout,

Check the options Sub-Pixel Mapping and Clamp Output (although I think Sub-Pixel mapping should be enough)

Good Day,

I'm facing a very annoying problem while rendering my scene, (vray 3.4)

White obvious noise dominated allover the scene and I got from the render elements that the problem is caused by the skylight portal but couldn't solve it.

The subdivs was 128, I increased the subdivs to 512 then 950 with no effective results

I increased max intensity till 50 but no way.

Any Help?

Thanks in advance.

Do you a VrayLightMtl material?

If so, make the multiplier 1 and check the option "Compensate Camera Exposure"

If not, well maybe you can try checking the option "Simple" next to Skylight Portal

Maybe this can help.

It's hard to guess without knowing how the scene is built, we're just

Shooting guesses in the air now wishing for a lucky hit!

I have 3dsmax 2018, so if you like to upload your file I'll

Be glad to check it for you, but you'll need to save it as 2018

Oh 😄 You helped in another way!! No vray light mtl in the whole scene, and simple box was already checked, but when I tried to uncheck it I found out that the problem was solved!!!

Why do you think simple button caused this problem? Also, the effect of ambient light decreased.

Well, that's good! 🙂

When Simple is ON, the V-ray light will not consider any rendered geometry behind it (like if they were invisible)

And will only consider the environment color. This can make the rendering faster.

Now you disabled the Simple effect, that means the geometries behind it are

Blocking some of the environment colors, and, if those geometries are dark then

Your scene will become a bit darker too since the light now is taking its information partially

From the geometry and partially from the environment.

Now why those white dots, well since my solutions in my first response didn't help,

It's hard for me to imagine the cause. I don't know what kind of light you have for the environment,

It's intensity, etc,... plus other factors/settings that are hard to guess from a distance. Sometimes a stupid detail

Can create a big mess!

Perfect!! yup there's an obj I forgot to exclude from the vray dome and vray sky portal plane!!
Thanks sooo much for ur help 🙂

about lighting system I just used vray hdri in dome light and vray skyportal plane where the white spots took place (appeared in its render element) and vray ies.

I'll try again and'll notify you of further updates.
