Does Max and Maya use a scratch disk like Photoshop and ZBrush? Can't seem to find anything when I do a Google search. And if so, how can you move the location to another drive?

Thanks

I don't think it does - I think PS uses a lot more memory than Max, because bitmaps/layers. 😉

Hi,

Max uses the Windows pagefile system for memory allocation. You can alter your pagefile for performance boosts - both by increasing size and moving if necessary. See seach link below.

https://www.google.com/search?&q=moving+windows+pagefile&oq=moving+windows+pagefile

https://www.google.com/search?&q=windows+page+file+performance

Daf
