I use 2020/2019 now which is no longer supported in Max, and it would literally take hours and hours to create a tutorial on this (which I don't have), each artist would have a different way of going about it - but everyone learns if they want to achieve it. There's load of tutorial videos on YouTube, but I left Mental Ray / VRay a long time ago!

What does your scene look like, and can you expand on what properties your mentalray material has?

Basicly I’m not expert so all I do when I setup a material is first of all I select the glossiness then I add a bitmap and sometimes setting up bump and adding a map to it but I want my renders to become more realistic and I think this should be the first step if I could setup materials properly. Tried to setup reflection with a black and white picture and also the invert but nothing changed on the render sceen.

thanks for your support!

Are they physical materials? There's a lot more to a scene than just a material, it looks like there's a bit of soft emissive and lighting in there as well doing the jobs.

The reflection is affected by the lights too. Be sure your lighting scheme are appropiate.

About the material, put the reflection to .85 and the glossiness to .4, increase the glossy samples to 32 or 48.

Try with a reflection maps too, search about pbr materials.
