Go to 'C:\Users\%Your User%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2019 - 64bit\' and find the 'ENU' folder. Rename it so something like 'ENU_ORIGINAL'. Then restart Max. It will build a brand new one. See if the icon comes back. If so and you haven't done much customization of Max, you'll be good to go without too much effort.

If you have customized a lot, there are ways to protect and save a good bit of that configuration. You can search here and Google for info on that. It's out there. But the main thing is to get you going so you can finish your project.

By saving the original ENU above, you can always get back to that somewhat broked state if you need to. Just delete the new one you made, rename the original one back to just 'ENU' and restart Max.

I can't find that ENU folder. I can't even find the AppData folder no matter where I look. I went to program files and there too I couldn't find anything. I can go C:\Users\%Your User%\ and then I find an autodesk folder, then -> 3ds max 2018 and inside that folder are only two folders Max Creation Graph and Scene Converter . Should I re-install?

That's odd. I wouldn't reinstall yet. If you can't see AppData at all that's a global problem with Windows and not a Max issue. There's a setting in Windows 10 that allows you to see/hide system files and data if I recall. That keeps people from accidentally causing damage to the OS files. See if yours is set so that you can't see the OS system files.

Here's my path to ENU. It should be the same for each user.

C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2020 - 64bit\ENU

Excellent, now you are rolling again.

Now, once you get Max all settled in and working the way you want, copy that ENU and save it somewhere. Then the next time you have some kind of 'oddity' happen, just put it in the folder in place of the ENU that's there when Max acts up again. It's saved me dozens of times and saved me from having to redo a bunch of customizations in Max's interface.
