    <description>&lt;P&gt;@Anonymous&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It seems that your issue is that the bump map is being displayed instead of your diffuse map.&amp;nbsp; This is likely due to you having "Show Shaded Material in The Viewport" at the level of the bump map instead of at the top level of the material assigned to the object.       <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;when i place my texture folder or texture picture with 3dsmax main file and when i open the file my texture bump dirt map covers my all object surface nd when i cahnge the location of that dirt map which places with main 3dsmax file nd after open it's all ok. can you tell me the solution? i dont want to see the error " file missing" after open the file. but i also dont want to see my object with dirt surface.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;By default, 3ds Max will search for any bitmaps used in a given scene from the same folder location from which it loaded that scene. It will then look at the bitmap folder paths referenced in the scene itself, which you can review (and change) by going to the File &amp;gt; Reference &amp;gt; Asset Tracking Toggle menu.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Finally, 3ds Max will store specific bitmap paths to folders that you can specify in the Customize &amp;gt; Configure Project Paths &amp;gt; External Files menu. From there, you can add up to 1024 different bitmap folder paths (where you've collected/collated your bitmap textures) so that 3ds Max can find them whenever it loads one of your scenes.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;sir after giving my path location i am facing the same problem, real problem is not missing file .. the problem is my "dirt map" that i have been used in BUMP its appears all on&amp;nbsp; my object after the same location of texture and 3dsmax main file. i have attached screenshot you can see it.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
