I think I need to rotate the pivot so that I can move the vertex smoothly without crumpling the skin of the model.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;@Anonymous&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Actually, it looks like you may have more than the 8 vertices in the upper corners of the mouth selected which may be causing the "wrinkling" when you move the vertices up.&amp;nbsp; Check that you only have the vertices selected you intend to move as any others could distort the geometry.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To answer your question about adjusting the pivot however, do the following:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1. Right click on the mesh and select "Place Pivot Surface" from the menu.&amp;nbsp; The cursor will change into a transform gizmo.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2. Move your cursor (Transform Gizmo) to the front surface you are trying to align to and&amp;nbsp;left click on it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;3.&amp;nbsp; Select the check box to enable this Working Pivot.&amp;nbsp; Now when you go back to the vertex subobject mode you can move the vertices along any of the axis of the working pivot.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="Place_Pivot_Surface_1.png" style="width: 999px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/783320iCE287594B7DD4D44/image-size/large?v=v2&amp;amp;px=999" role="button" title="Place_Pivot_Surface_1.png" alt="Place_Pivot_Surface_1.png" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="Place_Pivot_Surface_2.png" style="width: 979px;"&gt;&lt;img src="https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/783321iE0E6805FC99BE250/image-size/large?v=v2&amp;amp;px=999" role="button" title="Place_Pivot_Surface_2.png" alt="Place_Pivot_Surface_2.png" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
