We have an issue of editing a revit file on 3DS max

Hello

We are importing some revit models on 3DS max , it seems that those models are not editable.

Any idea of what might cause this ?

We receive the files but once we open them , it dosent allow us to proceed and edit them on 3Ds max.

We are making 3D visualisations.

again what does can't edit in 3ds Max mean?

what are you trying to edit?

provide more info than saying you can't edit in 3ds max

Hello

In every project we get , we receiving the 3D files ,

then we open them in 3Ds max and make all the relevant settings , lightnings , angles , texturing etc ( Edit )

In this case we have received some revit files ( a big project ) but 3Ds max dosent let us do anything at the moment.

And the creator mention that all is working well to other consultants.

So what do you think ? Is there any suggestions from your site that might cause this problem ?

Hello @Anonymous ,

There are a few options when importing a Revit model to 3ds Max.

Have you tried importing with "Do Not Combine Objects" option? With this option, all the Revit objects are imported as they are. You can easily manipulate each object, change materials, add lights or cameras, etc.
