Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for your question and your example file, but I'm not sure I understand exactly what the issue is here. If you select the upper edge indicated in your file and delete it, it's going to remove the two faces on either side of it that share that edge (this is expected behavior).

Do you want to actually delete it, or just make that edge invisible? If the latter, you could apply an Edit Mesh modifier, select that Edge then set it to Invisible, if you want.

Please let us know if this helps!

Hi

I try to delete 2 edges created by the quick slice tool.
but when I perform this operation two faces are removed

These are the images

The file is attached.

Thanks!

If I understand well what do you what to do, seems like you are doing retopo, and you want to remove said edges but keeping the face in there...

If you remove ony that edge, the face is going to dissapear, however, you can remove loops, and that will let the face on the location...

Looking the top of the image, seems like it is not a loop at all (or a plane) but a box with at least the top face missing, what doesnt you allow to select the whole loop, and then giving you this "issue"...

Try to first put that top face (bridge or cap), later select that 2 edges you are talking about and finally use "loop" so it selects for you both edges loops, then remove then (better use Ctrl + remove on the edge subobject, to also remove the vertices and avoid later problems with isolated-unused vertices.

Other aproach to consider, would be instead just remove all the "depth" pieces, and keep only the frontal planes (like it would be a plane) then you could remove the edges with no problem, later you could use something like "shell" to recover the depth missing in this case (as it seem to be just a simple wall)
