Trying to uninstall 3ds max 2021 and the uninstaller crashes every time.

It wont open so i wanted to do a clean uninstall but i cant uninstall it and this comes up every time.

Please help i need this to do my uni work

In addition, if you've submitted your Customer Error Reports (CERs) after Max has crashed, could you please let me know via private message what email address you used, so I can look up the exact module in which 3ds Max crashed?

are you trying to run 3ds max or open a file, the only reason why you are getting crash dumps because the file or program is corrupted the only way to read the crash dumps is you need to have the MS debugger and the MS symbol installed and you you ned to know what your looking for,

you cannot you read the file any other way, if you open it in wordpad it will look like nonsense

At this point im trying to uninstall 3DS Max @irishman_team_kilber but that image is what comes up everytime i try to uninstall it. I've tried to do a clean uninstall but i cant because i cant actually even uninstall 3DS Max.

Im thinking of trying to purge every autodesk file i have on my computer and completely start from scratch but i wouldn't know exactly how to do this or if its even a good idea.

there is a little program called WinDirStat that will let you uninstall any program you are having problems with. but i would be very careful with this program and you don't delete any windows files.

Look on youtube on how do use it. it simple enough to use. windirstat.

@irishman_team_kilber I think i've already made the mistake of trying to delete files which i shouldn't and i get the feeling this is what could've caused the issue im having baring in mind it isnt just 3DS Max, its also with Maya and the Autodesk Desktop app as well. Neither work, cant install or uninstall any of them.

have you how into windows safe mode and try to uninstall it from there

not sure why you tried to uninstall it you if you were having problem you could of setup a new windows admin and access it from there maybe it was just a bad windows bug

Never had any issues like this before on my pc and i think things like that are a bit advanced for my knowledge. @irishman_team_kilber

Have you tried to redownload files 3ds max and maya and tried to reinstall them? i know it's annoying but hey worth a shot

@irishman_team_kilber Tried both the install and download options for both maya and 3ds max, neither worked. For some reason the installer for the Autodesk Desktop app just opens and shuts when i try to run it. Nothing happens so thats broken for some reason.

you have tried cleaning the autodesk app right How to clean uninstall and reinstall Autodesk Desktop App

if they don't work i would try that program, or take it into a computer tech and let them take a look at it

@irishman_team_kilber Perfect, the autodesk desktop app is now working. Now to try and fix my maya and 3ds max, so you think i should run in safe mode and try uninstall 3ds, ill try that now.
