I just downloaded 3dsmax 2022 and my pc cant detect it

Hi everyone i just downloaded 3dsmax 2022 and when i tried to open my other .max file my pc asked me (how do you want to open this .max file) and i cant find 3ds max any one know how to solve it ?

downloaded doesn't mean install

did you actually install 3ds Max 2022?

i mean i aready install it and 3ds max aready running , when i save my work it will create a save file right ?
when i want to open it with the the save file shortcut my pc will pop up (how do you want to open this .max file) and in the selection it dosent have 3dsmax pop up

Just open Max and then go to 'File/Open...' and navigate to the saved file and open it. Then, Google about how to set a program to be the default program for a particular file extension. In no time you'll be up and running.
